I too am a member of sphinn, but I have to wonder if all these content driven networking sites are not click-clique driven?

Good points, John. For me, a healthy blend of Digg Sphinn make my world spin, but to each his own. I'm much prouder of the Sphinn community in many respects; it is a lot more welcoming and consequently is a more enjoyable place to be. But I like the odd news and tech stories that drive Digg's success, so I can't see myself avoiding Digg just yet. I'm sure you probably saw my my Digg post that I published today.

I do believe, however, that the evolution of vertical Digg/Sphinn sites is the way to go. It was something Todd Malicoat and Neil Patel predicted months ago in a WebProNews interview. It's happening, and in Sphinn's case, it's highly successful.

Right on, John. I think vertical social media websites are certainly the way to go. Perhaps that's the next online property that could succeed incredibly well. A home for vertical social media websites. It should make it very easy to set up your own social media website with all the functionality you need to have long-term success.
