Not much of a change from back in the day when ISPs were using the free URCHIN, it's just now the free Google.

Replace Paypal with Google Checkout, both appeal to the cheap bastards that keep hosting companies afloat.

It's no longer about a real business trying to migrate to the web or about starting a real online business, it's about trying to scrape a dollar off the web and pay nothing because of the non-existent margins.

So what that ISP is saying is he's letting Google supply all the free crap his customers want so he doesn't have to deal with it snd he gets a little more money from his wafer thin margins as well.

Next step: Google ISP and he's out as well

Don't scoff, Yahoo's hosting.

How scary is it that an ISP would want to tie themselves to any company like that?

I read a disturbing article recently off of dnhour about the potential of Google picking up Godaddy...that ISP could then have Google handle reg as well, but oops, what happens when Google acts as a virtual host too? See ya.

Should have asked if they were a public company. If they were, I would love to short that stock.
