Stumbling since July 2004…
I joined Stumbleupon in July of 2004. Yes, I said 2004. So what happened to my account?
I hate it when sites forget their early adopters. I know, back then it was a FireFox extension. I know, back then it was really, really small. I know, pre-Web2.0 and Social Media and all that. And that’s *exactly* why I wanted to claim my early adopter status! But there is no account anymore. They have moved up and out of the neighborhood, living large with their success, and forgotten me despite my early faith and support. Alas, woe is me.

Good point, been a member since April ‘05 and I’ve been wondering if they would integrate the age of your account into their recommendation algorithm in some way.
One idea could be if they applied more weight to accounts with the right age of account/ratings ratio, as in the future I can imagine Stumbleupon being “over-milked” for lack of a better term.
Always enjoy reading. Cheers

I know the feeling. I had about 40 - 50 important documents stored in a hotmail account and also on my hard drive. The hard drive was totaly frazzeled by a Windows crash and the hotmail account expired after 30 days of not visiting it. Another reason not to use Microsoft products ;)

Windows programs :D don’t even get me started. I may have the solution to your problems you ever seen the mac adverts, Get a mac!
@Richard: I know this is Mac fan-boy month, but I’d like to keep the irrational exhuberance off my blog ;-)
