Looking on webpronews. com can't agree with yours "Publishers who do not offer real value on the web will go out of business".

The $200 PC fits the newcomer that needs an appliance and has no allegiance to legacy software or historical data needing to be preserved moving forward.

If all you need is web access and maybe a spreadsheet (Open Office comes with it) it does the job, does it cheap, and every redneck and hillbilly that "Ain't buying no damn computer!" can suddenly afford one.

Pay attention in class ;)

Hah I'm keeping up just fine, Bill. Did you check how many "flew off the shelves"? Not so many compared to the market for PCs. I was one of the seekers walking the Walmart aisles when it became available, and I'd still buy one if they had one. But I'm a geek and it's a novelty. If you think the $200 PC buyer is going to drive commerce, we have a fundamental problem on our hands.

Keep up with the times John!
