AND MOVING IS YOUR FIX TO THE PROBLEM!

How about getting to the bottom of the issue.
And HELP fix it? Dare I say.

The problem I see is that in American there are not enough people rowing the boat.

Everyone wants to be on the deck getting a tan.

And there are times for relaxing. But when the waters are rough. ALL HANDS ON DECK!

Be prod of where your from. Show some resolve.

GRAB AN OAR AN START ROWING!

We absolutely need a radical change in the way things function in this country. We are still living in a government set up hundreds of years ago by people who could not foresee life the way it is now. It is a matter of time before a voice is heard that will outline a world better than the one we live in now.

I sense a movement is growing as more people have their eyes opened by the internet (we know where TV interests lie).

Who knows maybe blogs will be the answer, allowing anyone with a few dollars and an internet connection to speak to the world. (As long as the Google doesn't label the blog spam of course)

@Alex: I am afraid change does not come that easily. The vested interests don't just let things like the Internet take away their control. On the contrary they will control the Internet, or at least try, and they have plenty of room to try slowly over time, so as not to be noticed by the average citizen partly because the average citizen will contribute willingly to that cause (not understanding the results of participation). Wikipedia is able to be edited by anyone... and so becomes unaccountable to anyone, yet enjoys a default acceptance as "pretty valid" by society. That's brilliant...something so easily skewed being granted so much authority.

I completely agree with your cringe worthy list. I so desperately want to be proud to be an American, but it seems with every passing year I feel more embarassed to be an American than proud. I wouldn't be surprised if my wife and I relocated outside of the U.S. at some point in the near future.
