There are plenty of other domains that still work too, for example:-

Can you tell me what is going on with Wikileaks? What does it mean the their domain name was confiscated?
Tried yesterday to send a donation, but attempt was unsuccessful.
And, finally, exactly who are you and what is your connection with Wikileaks

Wikileaks’ Julian Assange has declared he’s going after a bank - don’t expect him to live much longer.

It means US does no longer allows you to access the website by it’s name. But you can still use the IP (which is the actual physical address).

Wikileaks has attempted to show the people of the world what politicians might say they are doing as compared to exactly what is happening! Perceived versus actual!
From a marketing perspective I believe that Wikileaks should change its name to
Transparency International because it would give the organization the profile and recognition it needs for the next phase of its life.
Transparency International is about transparency, honesty and integrity. I am comfortable with the name wikileaks but we need to look at the market place (political market) in a much broader and longer term.
Wikileaks can grow into Transparency International with human rights icons in its ranks.
The organised political world can hunt down an individual for putting mud on their faces - but an iconic group of human rights activists under the banner of Transparency International might be a more politically dangerous animal to hunt on television!

@Diana
You Said
“What does it mean the their domain name was confiscated?”
To start I would recommend you read up on how DNS works.
But to answer quickly it is like your name and phone number being removed from the phonebook. You can still be called via ur number but no one will be able to look up your number corresponding with your name.
As for the donation, if it was through paypal or credit card, the US government may have frozen his accounts.

Whatever happened to freedom or speech in America? That’s so wrong to shut WikiLeaks down in the US. If the world leaders don’t want to be outed for their wrong doings, then they should stop doing wrong!

You can also add these entries to your host file (in windows\system32\drivers\etc)
213.251.145.96 wikileaks.org
213.251.145.96 www.wikileaks.org
to have Windows resolve the domain name to the IP address directly without going to a DNS server.
(It’s read-only, so you may have to change the attribute before and after)
Let’s hope they can keep their IP address!
